Latest News

March 2013: Our latest results in palladium catalyzed cross dehydrogenative coupling of aldehydes and acetanilides were published in Advanced Synthesis and Catalysis !

February 2013: The group latest paper entitled "Iron-Surfactant nanocomposite-catalyzed benzylic oxidation in water" was published in RSC Advances!

December 2012: Our latest paper on Cu/Fe catalyzed CuAAC reaction was published in Synthesis as a Feature Article! Congratulations!

September 2012 Tim has joined to our group as Visiting Professor from Lebanon Valley College. Welcome Tim!

September 2012 The MTA-ELTE "Lendület" Catalysis and Organic Synthesis Research Group has just been founded in the frame of the Momentum Program

July 2012 Orsi received PhD grant from ELTE and will join to our group in September.

June 2012: Zoli has been selected as one of the winners of the Momentum Program  by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

June 2012: Ádám, Balázs, Bálint, and Dani successfully defended their thesis and received BSc. degree from ELTE.

April 2012: The group latest paper on design and application of new benzyne precursor has been published in Org.Lett.

February 2012: Our copper catalyst was utilized in functionalzation oh carbohydrides by Prof. Somsák at University of Debrecen. The results were published in Carbohydrate Research.

January 2012: Gergely left us temporarily and joined to Prof. Waser's group at EPFL, Switzerland. Have a nice time over there!

December 2011: Christmas Party photos have been added in two parts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

December 2011: Zoli has been awarded the Thieme Chemistry Journal Award 2012  by Thieme Chemistry!

December 2011: Tibor has joined to our group as postdoc! Welcome back Tibor!

December 2011: Bálint has won the Gerecs Árpád Prize at the Competition for Chemist Students for his research results and presentation at Eötvös University. Congratulations!

October 2011: Zoli was a co-author of a Stoltz group paper entitled "Enantioselective Decarboxylative Alkylation Reactions: Catalyst Development, Substrate Scope, and Mechanistic Studies" recently published in Chemisty!

September 2011: Ádám as PhD student, and Peter as technician has joined to our group. Welcome!

August 2011: Tarek's work entitled "N-Halosuccinimide/SiCl4 as general, mild and efficient systems for the α-monohalogenation of carbonyl compounds and for benzylic halogenation" has been published in Tetrahedron Letters.

July 2011: Photos of group activities at ESOC-12, Crete, Greece has been uploaded.

June 2011: Zoli has received the Bolyai research fellowship for three years from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

May 2011: Our work regarding the palladium impurities in "copper catalyzed" Sonogashira reaction has been cited in the latest issue of Chemistry World by James Mitchel Crow: " When is a catalyst not a catalyst"

April 2011: Anna has just defended her thesis and received her PhD degree from Eötvös University, Congratulations!

February 2010: Anna has received the Eötvös Fellowship from Hungarian Scholarship Board Office, She will join to the research group of Prof. Neil Garg at UCLA as a visiting grad student. Congratulations!

December 2009: Zoli received the Zemplén Géza Award from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

October 2009: The group latest results in Copper Catalyzed Azide-Alkyne Cycloaddition has been published in Dalton Transactions. Congratulations Zsombor!

October 2009: Zoli has received the Magyary Zoltán Postdoctoral Fellowship of Magyary Zoltán Felsőoktatási Közalapítvány.

September 2009: The group lates publication entitled The Sequential Sonogashira-Click Reaction: A Versatile Route to 4-Aryl-1,2,3-triazoles was published in Synthesis as a PSP (Practical Synthetic Procedure) article. Congrats!

July 2009: Gergely has received the PhD. grant from Eötvös University and starts his doctoral study from September. Szabolcs Kovács has won the PhD. fellowship of Sanofi-Aventis and joined to our group. Welcome!

June 2009: Janos has just defended his thesis and received his BSc. degree from Eötvös University. Gergely has also defended his thesis and received his MSc. Diploma from Technical University, Budapest. Congratulations!

April 2009: Gergely has received the Ivan Villax Traineeship and he will work for several months at Hovione, in Portugal. Congratulations!

April 2009: Janos has won Third Prize at the National Competition for Chemist Students for his research results and presentation. Congratulations!
